# Exercise As A Coping Mechanism Exercise is hard. So I realised that for positive effects like health, exercise usually does not continue. At least in my case. Then I suddenly realised that exercise as a coping mechanism would work. Because exercise is hard, if you think of it as a self-harm, it would probably work. Instead of cutting your wrist, you exercise! When you want to escape from the reality, you exercise. Even if you get bored, you want to escape from the reality so that you exercise. By exercising, you get better everytime and your stress actually goes down.
